Ford
Territory, Perfecting the Family Vehicle
The Ford Territory is not only sporty, stylish and fun, but an
amazing option for a family vehicle. Parents are raving about
the versatility, room and safety features that make the
Territory a car to just fall in love with. It offers eight
models to suit the needs of every kind of family or driver.
They are:
- Territory TX RWD,
- Territory TX AWD,
- Territory TS RWD,
- Territory TS AWD,
- Territory Ghia RWD,
- Territory Ghia AWD,
- Territory Turbo and the
- Territory Ghia Turbo.
Room to Grow
The Territory offers an abundance of room for cargo or
passengers, or both. Growing families need to have the space
for car seats, sporting equipment, groceries, or all of the
above. The Territory has an optional third row which can either
serve as additional storage space or extra seats for your
children's friends or takes the total adult capacity to
seven.
The second row also features a 60/40 split fold arrangement
to further your storage capacity needs. It also allows for
unique seating arrangements, including car seats.
To keep your life organised, the Territory features over thirty
storage compartments. These include such sections as a
dishwasher safe rubbish bin, security drawer with a locking
feature, and a drink holder for all passengers. These are all
features to keep your family's comfort in mind.
Safety and Your Family
The Ford Territory has state-of-the-art safety features to put
your mind at ease and to keep you and your passengers as safe
as possible. Such features include Dynamic Stability Control,
Electronic Stability Control, and Anti-lock Brakes (ABS).
Should a collision or emergency occur, the Intelligent
Safety System responds readily to the situation. It works by
evaluating the severity of the crash thus sending the Advanced
Restraints Module into action. This, in turn, sets further
safety technologies in motion such as front and side
airbags.
An optional feature is the reverse camera which allows the
driver to see what is behind the vehicle while in reverse. The
first of its kind built in Australia, the reverse camera
operates using a fisheye lens which gives the driver a 130°
angle with a depth of up to 15 metres behind the car. This
allows for superior vision behind the vehicle, making it a
great addition to the Territory Ghia and Ghia Turbo, and
optional on TS.
Another great use for the reverse camera is its use when
hooking up a trailer, as it is mounted above the licence
plate.
